A case of successful surgical treatment of a 79-year-old patient with gigantic abdominal infrarenal aortic aneurysm and cachexy

Presented in the article is a clinical case report concerning successful surgical management of a 79-year- old male patient with a gigantic aneurysm of the infrarenal portion of the abdominal aorta on the background of pronounced cachexia. The patient was subjected to prosthetic repair of the abdominal aorta. After treatment of exacerbation of chronic bronchitis in the postoperative period and normalization of the intestinal function, the patient was discharged home in a satisfactory condition.
