The most frequent causes of early thrombotic complications have been revealed and are analyzed on the basis of the data of 316 reconstructive interventions on the arteries of the femoropopliteal segment. A complex of diagnostic and treatment measures aimed at the lowering of the incidence of rethromboses has been worked out. It is shown that concomitant lumbar sympathectomy decreases the incidence of early thrombotic complications and the severity of ischemia manifestations, different plastic materials for femoropopliteal bypass grafting are evaluated.

KEY WORDS: femoropopliteal bypass grafting, thrombotic complications.
