POSSIBILITIES OF REDIONUCLIDE PHLEBOGRAPHY IN POST- THROMBOPHLEBITIC SYNDROME

A.V. Karalkin, V.Yu. Bogachev, S.G. Gavrilov

The present work deals with the results of examination of 40 patients suffering from post-thrombophlebitic disease. In addition to duplex angioscanning, all the patients underwent radionuclide phlebography. Twentyefour patients were diagnosed to have a recanalifed form of disease, seven patients presented with an occlusive form and nine patients were found to have associated recanalixation and occlusion. The recanalization form of poststhrombophlebltic syndrome was marked by not wellsdefined interrupted opacification of the vein, manifest radionuclide ejection from the deep to the saphenous veins via the perforans veins, indicating the incompetence of the latter ones. In addition to the abovelisted signs, occlusion of a vessel portion was marked by the lack of opacification of a vein portion with visualisation of the collaterals in that zone. The work treats of the problem of the functional block and its Influence on the treatment policy. The authors present the results of exploration of tibial pump function and prediction of the heaodynamic effect of the Linton-Felder operation based on the radiophlebography data.

KEY WORDS: post-throrabophlebitic syndromes radionuclide phlehography.
