Today there, is a great variety of lasers used for the treatment of congenital and acquired diseases of blood vessels of the skin. The unsatisfactory results of laser treatment of venous diseases of the legs are determined by histological, anatomical and other characteristics of the lower extremities. The present work reports the use of the combined. treatment for lower extremity telangiectases, namely sclerotherapy and selective laser photocoagulation using a Russian Yakhroma-2 apparatus. Sclerotherapy resulted in the elimination of 100% of vessels measuring over one mm in diameter. After 2 to 3 courses of laser therapy as many as 95% of vessels measuring less than one mm in diameter could be removed. The clinical experience gained by the authors confirms that the combined method is most effective for the treatment of lower extremity telangiectases.
