THE ROLE OF ENOXAPARIN (CLEXANE) IN THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF THROMBOEMBOLIC COMPLICATIONS

In view of the occurrence in the middle 80s of low-molecular heparins and fur ther conduction of a number of clinical studies devoted to evaluation of their efficacy the scheme of the treatment and prevention of throwboembolic complications in surgery underwent consid- erable changes. The paper is a review of the reported data on the pharmacokinetic properties and characteristics of enoxaparin (calexan) manufactured by the French Pharmaceutical Company Rhone Poulenc Rarer Inc. and on the results of its administration in surgical patients.
