The role of leg musculovenous sinuses in the lower limb blood outflow was established by phlebohemodynamic examinations of 542 patients with chronic lower limb insufficiency and venous anatomy assessment of 42 cadavers. Venous sinuses were shown to comprise the main component of leg musculovenous pump. Muscular sinuses provided the abatement of orthostatic and dynamic hypertension in foot and leg. Special surgical correction is needed for musculovenous sinus ectasia.

KEY WORDS: chronic lower limb insufficiency, phlebohemodynamic.
