The patient underwent linear grafting of the inferior vena cava with reimplantation of the left renal vein into the graft. Three days after operation hemoperitoneum was diagnosed, necessitating repeat laparotomy. Later the postoperative course was complicated by transient disturbance of the function of the single left kidney. The patient was discharged from hospital in a satisfactory condition.
